InnoCART Summer School 2025: A recap of last week’s exciting event

Last week, InnoCART wrapped up an exciting and challenging summer school that brought together some of the brightest minds to tackle a bold question: Who will design the InnoCAR-T?

Working in small teams, participants combined their PhD expertise with new knowledge gained through inspiring lectures by Claudio Mussolino, Harry Dolstra, and others, covering topics like epigenetic CAR T-cell editing, NK cell therapy, and the tumor microenvironment. To support their final pitches, students also joined practical workshops on data visualization (Isabel Romero Calvo) and presentation skills (Pauline Pater). The week ended with exciting group presentations judged by a panel of experts. Congratulations to Group 2, whose innovative concept earned them first place!

With the summer school now concluded, we are excited to see how the concepts and ideas developed over the week will continue to influence the future of CAR-based immunotherapy. A big thank you to all students, speakers, and organizers for an unforgettable and inspiring week! Well done to all the participants for their hard work and dedication!
